open5gs-eird answers ME-Identity-Check-Request from the MME out of the same eir collection that serves the AMF, so one record admits or blocks a device on both cores. The Terminal-Information IMEI (14 digits) and Software-Version (2 digits) are recomposed into the stored PEI form "imeisv-<16 digits>"; an IMEI without Software-Version is looked up as "imei-<15 digits>" with the Luhn check digit computed. A known device is answered with Equipment-Status, an unknown one with DIAMETER_ERROR_EQUIPMENT_UNKNOWN (5422), a database failure with DIAMETER_UNABLE_TO_COMPLY. The mongoc client is shared between the SBI thread and the freeDiameter threads under a mutex. S13 is enabled by eir.freeDiameter, either a configuration file or the inline identity/realm/listen_on mapping accepted by the HSS. |
