On reload, in-flight IPC fetches are aborted and Tauri logs a fallback
warning. Dispatching it to extension subscribers during teardown kept
the whole old page alive in WebKit, 100–400 MB per reload. An unloading
page now captures nothing.
Centralize file picking, staging and delivery across platforms, with explicit cancellation outcomes and source ownership.
Remove superseded platform bridges and redundant tests, and document the shared contract and platform differences.
